Terms of Sale

Effective October 25, 2026 · Ridgeline Apps LLC, an Ohio limited liability company · [email protected]

Checkout is not open yet. These terms will apply to purchases once it opens.

BotForge is Windows desktop software published by Ridgeline Apps LLC ("we"). Your use of the software is governed by the BotForge End User License Agreement (EULA), which is shown in the installer and inside the app. These Terms of Sale cover buying a BotForge license. If you don't agree, don't buy a license.

1. What you're buying

  • A license key that unlocks the paid BotForge features described on the pricing page, for the BotForge version available when you buy, plus any updates we choose to release while your license is active.
  • A license is for one person and works on up to 3 devices at a time that you own or control. It is not transferable and may not be shared.
  • BotForge is software that runs on your PC. It doesn't include any AI service.
  • Paid plans are sold by Ridgeline Apps LLC. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax (including Ohio sales tax) is added on top of the price where required.
  • Pro monthly is the only plan on sale. Pro yearly and the Founder license are coming soon and can't be bought yet.

2. Your own AI providers and keys

  • You connect your own accounts and API keys (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or xAI) or local models.
  • You pay those providers directly, at their prices.
  • You must follow their terms of service and usage policies. If you use a provider's subscription through BotForge, that use is subject to that provider's terms.
  • We aren't responsible for their charges, outages, model behavior or changes to their terms.
  • Budget and usage meters in BotForge are estimates and don't guarantee a spending limit.

3. Price and automatic renewal

  • Pro monthly: $10/month, renews automatically until canceled, cancel anytime online. You're charged when you buy and then automatically every month, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. At checkout you must tick a box agreeing to these terms and the EULA before you can pay.
  • You can cancel anytime online in BotForge (Settings → License → Manage subscription) or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops future charges. Your license stays active until the end of the period you paid for. After that, BotForge returns to the Free plan, and your bots and data stay on your PC.
  • We'll email you before any price change takes effect for your subscription, and you can cancel before it applies.

4. Founder license (coming soon)

Not on sale yet. When it goes on sale, it will be a one-time payment for the paid features for the life of the product, meaning as long as Ridgeline Apps LLC makes BotForge available. It will include updates we release for BotForge. It is not a promise to keep developing or supporting BotForge forever, and it doesn't cover separate future products. It will be limited to the first 200 buyers. Its price will be shown before you buy.

5. System requirements and trying it first

  • Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
  • Try the Free plan before you buy to make sure BotForge works on your PC.
  • The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning when you install it.

6. Refunds

See the Refund Policy. Refunded or disputed purchases lose their license.

7. Delivery and keys

Your key is shown after payment and can be emailed to the address you used at checkout. Keep it private. A key that is shared publicly or abused may be turned off.

8. Your responsibility for bots

  • BotForge can control a browser, run commands, read and write files, and use connected accounts if you turn those features on.
  • Risky actions ask for your approval by default.
  • You're responsible for what you allow, and for following the law and the terms of the sites and services your bots use.

9. Open-source and third-party components

BotForge includes open-source software (including Electron and Chromium) under their own licenses. Their notices ship with the app (THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html) and the npm package notices are also on this site.

10. No warranty; limitation of liability

BotForge is provided as described in the EULA (section 8, No Warranty, and section 9, Limitation of Liability). That includes the cap: our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid in the 12 months before the claim or US $10. Nothing in these terms limits rights that can't be waived under the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act or other law.
